this made my day. little things like this go a long way for a companies user base. Reminds me of Pixar's stint for a little girls dying request to see the movie (http://www.justpressplay.net/movies/movie-news/5530-pixar-grants-dying-10-year-olds-wish-to-see-qupq-before-she-dies.html)

there goes some of sony's good brand quality image.
one the good side. I once had to swap out a battery from apple before.
it was quick and easy. honestly i am a power user, travel tons.
could use a new fresh pair of batteries anyway. i am checking to see if any of my 3 are swapable.
hey not a bad thing. this is preventative. my batteries have been fine, aside from losing life after tons of charges.

so what do the experts say to that? Does it mean a step up, down or a side-step on the professional–consumer scale?

I actually really hate flash.
But I'd like it on my iPhone since seemingly every important web site utilizes it these days.

Well...doesn't look like its happening today.
There's still time. But I do like knowing that I was right when people were all 'NO YOU'RE NOT!!" Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside that I can use some common sense.

As you probably all know my Mac only setup, here is my Mac / TV / Gaming setup of my bedroom (I'm 15). PS3 is connected to the TV.
The 'corner':

The Mac / iPad desk:

The iPad is in the Apple iPad case. On the right, I can relax (watch TV, play PS3). On the left I make homework and work with the MBP / iPad. As I sit at the desk I often watch TV. Very relaxing. Photo is taken with my iPhone 4. My PSN is: jessieblommaart. Add me, I'm unbeatable with FIFA 11....;)
Loving my setup, it's finished now.

I really don't get all of those who constantly are saying things like "Don't care for them, they were before my time . . . " or "They're so old, they're not relevant . . .", etc. Really? I just don't get it. Monet, Davinci, Bach, Cole Porter, Sonny Boy Williamson, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Charlie Parker were all before my time, yet I appreciate them. Having an artist being born before your time shouldn't have anything to do with "appreciating" them. That's the whole point - art is timeless. I' guess it has to do with how you grew up and what you were exposed to that makes a difference.
My experience is that most of the people who say those kinds of things don't actually know anything about music, and may have very little musical education. People who know music either by critical listening, study, or learning an instrument, while they may have their preferences, wouldn't dismiss an entire artist's catalog based on their historical time or genre.

It's evil because it suggests that both Foxcomm and the titans of Silicon Valley have found another exploitable source of cheap, desperately poor labor 'just in case' something happens in China--say a major earthquake like that in Japan or moves to throw out China's aging dictatorship much like that now taking place in the Middle East. Standing by itself, you might call this move shrewd but evil.
It might suggest that to some ignorant persons out there, but Brazil has one of the world's most expensive workforces. Employers pay anywhere between 80% to 120% over salaries in taxes.
]But it's also stupid because it rewards Brazil for its aggressive mercantilist policies. Other countries, particularly in Latin America, are likely to take note and follow. In fact, they'll be foolish if they don't.
It's been said already, but US has much worse protectionist policies. And other countries in America have had similar policies for decades - Uruguay for example has recently received a few chinese factories in exchange for lower taxes. This only benefits the two parties: the local government/communities that get a boost in jobs and income, and the company that gets to save money. It's definitely not the same as policies that favor raw material exports or put other countries' exports in jeopardy.

Did anyone love this quote?
That was definetly a really sweet quote, steve jobs must really been on a emotional rampage - really nice considering all the stale and boring business related interviews (featuring other people than steve jobs that is) that one is able to read from time to time - a nice spark of sunshine from a dark sky.

It's really amazing to see here people justifying the price of Windows Vista, when not even corporations think about migrating to the "new" OS in 2-years time...Vista is just a rehashed NT, and no company will need it in the short term.
Corporations have many more factors to consider prior to updating than the general consumer. Price is only one of the many factors. In many cases the sticker price of the OS itself is the least restrictive factor when considering upgrading for a corporation.

Nope, none of those reviews count until ZP reviews it, because he is the only person not on drugs.
My issue is more that since the downturn and so many print & web sites struggling badly, the impact of AAA advertising money on reviews is now clearer than ever.
I'm not saying that Halo: Reach isn't a great console shooter, just that all of these 11/10 frothing 'bestest EVAR' scores - particularly the ones with more nitpicks than would be present in a 8/10 review of a game without gobs of advertising money - are inherently suspect, because they are bought.

People need to stop with the "OMG windows is $400" talk. It's just silly.
It doesn't seem silly to me at all. What is the point of upgrading to Vista Home Basic? It's a substantially crippled version of the OS, and doesn't seem to offer much if anything over XP, and certainly nothing compelling. To get something closer to OSX's out-of-the box functionality, they'll need to spend far more. It's true that retail box upgrades are a small fraction of Windows sales, but this only goes to show how wary Windows users are of upgrading, and that the vast majority will only buy into the newest version of Windows when it comes pre-installed on a new PC -- IOW, when they have no other choice.
One of the many ironies here is that we're forever hearing about how Apple shafts their customers with high prices, but when Microsoft does it in an even more naked and obvious way, people fall all over themselves to excuse it. Now that's silly!

why are two different Apple websites giving slightly DIFFERENT serial numbers? one is 3K***** and the other is 3X*****
here are the two Apple websites:
https://depot.info.apple.com/batteryexchange/
https://support.apple.com/ibook_powerbook/batteryexchange/index.html
so one of those is right and one is not. and of course, one of those i have to send my battery back, and one i dont! ahhh, what to do?!
the first one you linked is the recall from 2005 i believe

I applaud you. I would have done the same until they added the "convert higher bit rate to 128" option to the iPhone. Now, I can have 5200 songs on my iPhone 32GB, which is roughly half my iTunes library, with enough space for app, photos, and video. I see no reason to carry around two devices when one does everything I need, plus all the guilty pleasures of the web.
Try squeezing 26,000 songs on your iPhone. ;)
