Here's a few quick ones.
"U.S. wants other nations to pitch in on Libya"
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/us-wants-other-nations-to-pitch-in-on-libya/2011/03/30/AFh2IY6B_story.html
"European countries downsize military, increase social programs"
http://www.theeagleonline.com/news/story/european-countries-downsize-military-increase-social-programs/
"In an effort to decrease European government spending ... They are planning on reducing billions from their military budgets due to budget deficits."
http://propaganda-buster.blogspot.com/2011/02/european-military-hd.html
Quick, yes, but not very substantive. That third one, wtf is that? Sheesh.

Does anyone know what the formatted capacities are of each (2 gig, 4 gig, 8 gig)As with all capacities you need to take into account that computers (and RAM manufacturers) calculates size in binary 2^10 = 1024 for thousand, while HD and Flash memory manufacturers calculate in decimal where 1000 = 1000.
For drives measured in GB this mean you need to multiply the drives size with ~0.93 to get the size your computer will calculate it to:
2 GB ≈ 1.86 GB
4 GB ≈ 3.72 GB
8 GB ≈ 7.44 GB
So, yes in a way you are right, on the 8 GB nano about 550 MB will be "missing".
This has very little to do with formatting (this was an issue back when drives were just a couple of MB, then the formatting table and such actually took up a fair portion of the disk).
This isn't exactly news.

How is that ironic (Miss Morissette)?
Because this forum, one that expends an epic number of posts lambasting Microsoft and anything it ever does, simply has to conceed that's it's doing a good job in this instance. Microsoft, making the Apple experience, better.

I'm so confused. My 15" G4 does match the battery model no, 1078. But, the serial number is no where close. Mine starts with W! Where in the world did they get 3xxxx??? Thanks.

As much as I hate my 3G these days (SLOW) i'd rather wait a few extra months for an LTE iPhone to last me another 2 years instead of having LTE in 2012 and feeling the need to upgrade so soon.
Hopefully iPhone 5 will be both 3G/LTE and GSM/CDMA

agreed... and even if this wireless sync comes to existance it will be a waste. I'd way rather have a thunderbolt connector on the next set of iDevices than wireless sync. No point in being wireless if i have to leave it on a charger so the battery isn't half dead 3 hours later when it's done syncing. Why people would prefer that is beyond me :D
Well if i only needed few hundreds of MB of data and stuf like calendars and contacts or emails to sync it's a nice addition. That's basically what i would use it for.

Only on an Apple forum, when new features are raised as possibilities, does a sizeable minority of posts involve griping about "Why would you want to do that?!" or "What kind of stupid feature is that?"
I don't see what's so hard to accept that some times, in some instances, some people might find use of over-the-air updates. Given that Apple always releases new iOS updates at 1pm during weekdays, when the vast majority of us are at work, I can easily invision scenarios where there's a cool new feature in a point update that everyone wants to give a spin. Why not start the download at work so it's ready to test drive before you leave the office?
And, to all those citing bandwidth constraints as curtailing this behavior: Verizon users have no such constraints.

Ditto. My poor 3G is one step away from being an ipod only... I hate that Apple has essentially bricked that phone. Mine is in great shape, but barely works after the 4.0 update. Retro would be ideal.
There's zero incentive for Apple to do that. They're in the business of making $$. If they made a phone, and supported it for 5 - 7 years, no one would buy new ones, therefore no revenue. It's all about making cash...
Plus, a phone going on 3 plus years is pretty good. You got you money's worth. Sell it on E Bay-or Craigslist, and make some cash. Or like you said, an iPod.

It works great, "Dark Side" and "The Wall" play as intended.He-he... I'm testing "The Wall", too... :)
Did the "Gapless Determination" detect your The Wall album or did you, like me, have to set the Gapless Album tag yourself...?

Taken last night on the way home from the pub. I'm still getting used to the Epson R-D1 I bought last month. Rangefinders are certainly a different way of working, but I really like the feel in the hand and the output (with a bit of processing to get a slightly more film-like look)

Nice job by Apple on the 24". Very tempting system.
The 7600GT isn't a bad card at all for gaming. The only thing to rememeber is that it has to push 1900x1200 in those games unless you drop the resolution. I think the 7600GT has a 128 bit memory bus. All in all it should do fine for the games that are availible right now.

Maybe it had nothing to do with money at all. Maybe "wife said no" because hubby is obsessed with gadgets and the Internet, and therefore pays no attention to wife, kids, dog or fish.
That said, Apple may not have necessarily helped with family by sending it back to hubby for free. All they did was undermine the wife's better judgment.

Yep. Hear it all the time. "Protect my family", "Keep my family safe". In other words, kill the other party so that your offspring may live. The attitude needs to change. Yugo's for everyone.
I used to hear this all the time from my ex-girlfriend. Whenever she drove her mom's expedition she'd claim that she "felt so safe".
Compensating for poor driving skills with the consumer equivalent of a tank.

There's a lot of speculation in that Wikipedia article and very few citations of credible sources.
And then there's this...
Well, there's this (http://www.snopes.com/rumors/radio.htm). And this quote: "Company president John Hogan told the Atlanta Constitution that the list was merely a suggestion, 'never a policy or a directive.'" from here (http://www.lipmagazine.org/articles/featwishnia_142.shtml). Anyway, whatever.

You're right, it wasn't the RIAA handing the fines, of course, it was courts. But you're wrong, there most certainly have been fines:

http://www.pcworld.com/article/112436/industry_group_pays_childs_riaa_fine.html
Those aren't fines, they're damage awards by juries. Shody reporting and misuse of the word fine.
