Just in case you don't know her, Padma Parvati Lakshmi was born in Kerala, India on September 1, 1970 although she spent most of her teenage years in the U.S. She's a cookbook author, actress and former model. She holds a B.A. with honors in Theatre Arts from Clark University in Massachusetts (1992). It is said that she speaks five languages.
Her modelling career began at the age of 20 when a modelling agent sighted her sitting in a cafĂ© in Spain. Regarding her career as a model, the hottie has stated that, “I was the first Indian model to have a career in Paris, Milan and New York. I’m the first one to admit that I was a novelty.
When she was 14 years old she was involved in a car accident which left her with a 7 inch scar on her right arm between her elbow and shoulder.
