Kelly Preston is perfect. Let me repeat myself, Kelly Preston is p-e-r-f-e-c-t – perfect. It’s not that I think she’s perfect; it’s that she IS perfect. She is flawlessly beautiful. Her smile is endearing, warm, friendly, bright, sweet and sexy.
Her body, umm umm umm, did I say umm…? I agree; I need to be more specific. First let me inhale deeply…. that’s it, now exhale… slowly… yes….. Ok let me try again – her body is… I’ve already used perfect so many times that to use it again would be redundant… let’s just say, every single curve, hump, dimple, etc… is placed with absolute precision. In my humble opinion, she is flawlessly symmetrical; she could hold her own on any runway next to any model.
I could sit and look into her eyes for hours, days, weeks… a lifetime. She’s got amazingly beautiful eyes; they remind me of…. *sighs*… Every feature of her face is immaculate; nose, cheeks, chin, eyebrows…. *more sighs… oh so dreamy*. If I’m beginning to get on your nerves with this, too bad *sighs* deal with it. And to think… I’m kinda at the beginning of this blog. Good luck to you.
There’s no choosing of which part of her anatomy I like most. It would be totally unfair to ask me to choose. How do you choose a part of perfection? That’s just not right. If I absolutely had to narrow it down, it would come down to her eyes and her smile but as I said so many times before, it’s not any one thing about Kelly that has me totally enamored.
Kelly Preston oozes charm, sexiness, confidence, sophistication and hotness. I think one of the most attractive traits she has is the fact that all of the aforementioned characteristics is superbly blended with a bit of quirkiness and what I sense to be bit of playful mischievousness.
I can picture her being perfect at any occasion that merits it and as soon as the situation calls for it, pulling a prank on anyone who happens to be the target at that particular moment. I can see holding a chair for dear old John then pulling it out from under him at the last minute.
Have I reminisced enough? Have I successfully laid out how I feel about this woman? In my opinion no, but there has to be a limit, right? Right. I love her. I like her. I admire her; I have a whole lot of respect for her. I think she’s an extraordinary woman. I positively extol the way she balances her life as a mom, a wife, a friend, an actress, a positive and courageous woman and not to mention, a hottie.
She was born Kelly Kamalelehua Smith in Honolulu, Hawaii on 13 October 1962. Her father died by drowning when she was only 3 years old. Because of her father’s work, as a child she lived in for a while in Iraq (15 months) and Australia. She started her education at Pembroke School in South Australia, attended Punahou School in Hawaii and finished by studying drama and theater at the University of Southern California.
She started her career working in commercials and performing bit parts in television and later transitioned into movies. Her first television appearance on record was in an episode of Hawaii Five-O in 1980. Since then she has appeared in several shows and movies including For Love and Honor, Christine, Mischief, Amazon Women on the Moon, The Experts, The Perfect Bride, Jerry McGuire, Nothing to Lose, Death Sentence and Old Dogs. This year she has roles in Casino Jack, From Paris with Love (brief appearance on the Eiffel Tower) and The Last Song.
Her film career has not been an illustrious one and she would be the first to admit it. The best part about it though, is that she is totally fine with it. She’s got her priorities exactly the way she wants; another reason to totally love her and fall in love with her. She first met her husband John Travolta in 1987 while filming The Experts. They married in 1991 and have two kids; a son named Jett (deceased) and a daughter named Ella Bleu.
Since the diagnosis of her son with Kawasaki’s Syndrome, she has worked incessantly with the Children’s Health Environmental Coalition to generate awareness and education on the hazards and causes of the dreaded illness.
I’ve said that Preston is an amazing woman but don’t take my word for it. Draw your own conclusion from a few personal quotes made by the sexy, gorgeous, make-your-mouth-water and put-you-under-a-spell beauty.
"When I married John, I put my career on hold to be a wife and to have a child. Before that I didn't have a fabulous career, but I was working. When I decided to resume acting, I had become Mrs. Travolta in many people's eyes so I had to prove myself all over again."
"People have generally been very respectful and we've not been tabloid fodder."
"There's the jiggle factor in Hollywood. Once I was at an audition and they told me, 'You must show your breasts!' and I was like, get outta town. I just laughed and slammed the door on my way out."
"I've wanted to have babies since I was 11. I always babysat. I was making thousands and thousands of dollars doing commercials and still babysitting for $2.50 an hour. Children are our future -- literally. It's such a cliché, but it's so true."
"But we ride bikes, we go swimming, you do art projects, you do things as a family. We go to Denny's, my big places to shop are Wal-Mart and Target. Seriously, that's where half of my stuff comes from now. I don't get to go to the super-fancy stores unless I'm out here now. You sort of stay pretty real that way."
"I prioritize, I'm a great list-maker and, to try to keep everything organized, I have people who help me out with different things. And just making my kids and my husband come first, keeping us together, is my first priority. And then I fit films into my life."
Side note: You will have noticed the lack on activity on Slym Pickings over the past few months. I've been quite bogged down lately, still am and I have to say that I don't think it's going to change anytime real soon. There is increasing demands on me mainly due to work. So I ask for your continued patience. I'm doing my best to recharge my batteries as much as I can so that I stay sane. I sincerely appreciate everyone who takes the time to visit.
